OLUYOLE YOUTH SUMMIT: Hon Settle Olaide Partner MTN Nigeria and Rostal Resources Ltd To Train Youths On ICT and Agriculture

Oluyole local government under the Executive Chairmanship of Hon Settle Olaide Popoola organized OLUYOLE YOUTH SUMMIT today Thursday 8th July, 2021 to train youths on Information Technology and Agriculture.

Below is the statement by the chairman as posted on his Social Media Platform:

"Today,  As part of our resolve to ensure that all strata of the  population of Oluyole Local Government is well catered for, we organized a maiden edition of YOUTH SUMMIT in collaboration with MTN NIGERIA and ROSTAL RESOURCES LTD with the theme :

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND AGRICULTURE AS PANACEA FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT IN THE NEW EMERGING OLUYOLE LOCAL GOVERNMENT.

"I use the medium to itemize our empowerment plan for the youths as touching engaging them in the area of ICT and AGRICULTURE by training them in the following areas  through collaboration with MTN NIGERIA and ROSTAL RESOURCES LTD:

1. COMPUTER NETWORKING

2. COMPUTER PROGRAMMING (APPS AND SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT)

3. ANIMAL HUSBANDRY

4. FINANCIAL RESOURCE AGENCY (MOMO AGENTS)

5. CROP FARMING

"I also told them that the training programme will enable all interested youths to become better engaged on a long term basis to meet the growing demand of the 21st century while also expanding their knowledge to qualify for better opportunies the world  currently offers through ICT and Agriculture."

"On market for agricultural produce; we had already establish and signed memorandum of understanding with our sister Local Government in Ogun State (Ijebu Ode Local Government  and Lagos state respectively ( Alimosho Local Government)  so that goods produced by our trained youths in Agriculture will have  market through which it shall be explored and marketed to the world."

"For our youths who shall be trained in ICT related fields, the soft skills they shall acquire shall sufficiently put them ahead of their peers while also taking them off the street of the hopeless unemployed youths and also make us to be proud to say we have contributed immensely to their successes as they will become more useful to the entire Oyo State Economy, Nigeria and the world at large."

"In the course of the summit, our youths had the opportunity to ask critical questions bothering their minds from the resource persons from MTN NIGERIA and ROSTAL RESOURCES LTD and their questions were well attended to."

"The training programme in partnership with MTN NIGERIA and ROSTAL RESOURCES LTD shall kick off in no too distant time and the training shall be fully sponsored by our administration in collaboration with MTN NIGERIA and ROSTAL RESOURCES LTD."

"Many thanks to all our youths for their attendance and sound contributions which help add colour and nutrient to the summit and special appreciation to His Excellency, GOV. SEYI MAKINDE for his dexterity and continous support for all youths in our dear state."

"We hope that with this step, we are surely going to have a new Oluyole of our dream come to reality."
