EMPOWERMENT: Panegyrics Shower As Makinde’s Ally, Benedict Akika Empowers Constituents Across Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency

Residents of Akinyele/Lagelu federal constituency were in joyous mood today, as Governor Seyi Makinde ally and the Founder of OMI TUNTUN BENEDICT FORUM, Mr. Benedict Akika, empowered hundreds of youths and Women across Akinyele/Lagelu local governments.

It was gathered that, the mega empowerment was In line with his vision of giving priority to the youths cum communal development in order to put them in better stead to assume leadership of the Country in the nearest future.

The items distributed includes; grinding machine, mobile phones, swing machines, and clippers.

Others are; cash empowerment to hundreds of youths and women, within the federal constitutency.

Addressing the beneficiaries after the presentation of item, Mr. Benedict Akika enjoined them to make use of what they were given judiciously, so as to be financially independent and upright citizens.

The Governor Seyi Makinde ally further added that, he would continue on his philanthropic gestures in empowering the less privileged.

He said, “Empowerment isn’t about giving people money; it’s about giving them power. One that cannot be taken away from them, and through which they can sustain themselves. When you make an impact in one family, you touch a community, which in turn impacts the nation. And that is what we are trying to do with various programs of this nature. We can only do so much, but hopefully through empowerment you can go the rest of the way yourselves.”

While appreciating the very fantastic work of Governor Seyi Makinde in last two years, he added that his Excellency had been able to transform the state from poverty to Prosperity with all round developmental projects.

Equally, he appreciate Otunba Seye Famojuro, for his time to time Support and guidance always.
