Kano State House of Assembly
THE Kano State House of Assembly, on Monday, gave local government council chairmen in the state a four-day ultimatum to swear in appointed administrative secretaries, supervisory councillors and special advisers.
The ultimatum was handed down during the day’s plenary session presided over by the Speaker, Hamisu Chidari.
This was sequel to an emergency motion by the member representing Karaye constituency, Alhaji Nasiru Amare, who is also the Chairman, House Committee on Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs.
The House unanimously passed the motion and ordered the chairmen to swear-in all those affected between August 3 and 6, 2021.
