All around the world, peaceful protest has been the best way for citizens to show displeasure against the ruling class which the youth of Nigerians did in the most civil manner on 20/10/2020, on an activities that started as a protest against unjust brutalization by the Police unit code name SARS. #EndSARS
Today makes it the first year anniversary that we lost great Patriots all around the country and especially at the lekki toll gate who in their best civil way, protested against maltreatment, unjust brutalization and victimization of youth by the security personnel who should protest their interest.

From we all at PDP Southwest our prayers are with those who lost their lives and loved ones at the Lekki toll gate, various points and those that sustained injuries as well as those that are still locked up in various detention centres.

The protest which have a well coordinated demands of "5 of 5 Demands", despite the current administration promise to see to the demands and bring to book the perpetrators of the brutalization till today, other than bring a lasting solution this event has been left albeit till this moment. #EndSARS
As today calls for a sober reflection for all, it's imperative that the government and all its agency should bring to gainful use the lessons learnt from the past even and make amendment where necessary, which mainly is the total reform and overhaul of the NPF, and it's important for the government to see to proper engagement of the Nigeria populace in a manner that preserves and give accolades to the right and freedoms of the citizens to avoid the break down of laws at any point in time.

While we would implore all stakeholders in the country to put in a great pact to see an ending to the current high Status of unemployment, insecurity and the current economic woes to give an enabling environment to our dearest youth to thrive both in all aspects of development and especially Tech. It's important we put in our best for their development and Growth.

We are of the greatest hope that we have a Nigerians that works for all, where right and freedoms of citizens would be respected at all times, that is the only way we can honor those who gave their lives for this cause. #EndSARS
