As part of efforts to cushion the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, two corporate organizations, Nigeria Brewery and Royal Queen, this Thursday donated cash and food items to the Oyo State Government as part of their corporate responsibilities to support the state government in tackling the coronavirus pandemic. The Nigeria Brewery presented a cheque worth #20M to the state Ministry of Finance while Royal Queen donated food items to the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
The state Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Jacob Ojemuyiwa Ojekunle, while receiving the food items, on behalf of the state government, at the Ministry, expressed appreciation to the donor for coming to the aid of the state government at this trying time.
The Commissioner assured that the relief materials donated would be distributed accordingly,adding that all items donated so far would be accounted for in due time. He said the pandemic doesn’t discriminate against any class in the society.
