COVID-19: OYO GOVT FLAGGED-OFF DECONTAMINATION/CONTAINMENT PROJECT AT STATE SECRETARIAT IN IBADAN



Oyo state Covid-19 decontamination and containment project has flagged-off the process at the Secretariat in Ibadan, the Oyo state’s capital, to contain the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Speaking at the flag-off, the Secretary to the State Government, Olubanwo Adeosun, said the decontamination process will be done with technical expertise at the expense of the State Government’s cost.
The S.S.G also stated that the decontamination would be done specifically after which Business organizations would be worked upon according to sensitization exercise.

In his response during the flag-off, the Commissioner for Health in Oyo state, Dr Bashir Bello, stated that the decontamination process is embarked upon, to tackle the Virus because the life span is not yet known.
While delivering her address, the Chairman of the Oyo state decontamination and containment committee, Prof. Olanike Adeyemo, stated that Markets would not be decontaminated because a case has not emanated from the Markets.
The decontamination flag-off at the Secretariat was attended by top Oyo state Government officials which include the Chief of Staff- Bisi Ilaka, Deputy Chief of Staff- Mojeed Mogbonjubola Jagaban, the Head of Service-Ololade Agboola, the Commissioner for Environment- Kehinde Ayoola, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Sustainable Development Goals- Hon Kunle Yusuf, Special Adviser on Media- Jide Ajani, Chief Press Secretary to the State Governor- Taiwo Adisa, Special Assistant on Broadcast- Bosede Sodiq, Special Assistant on Youths and Sport- Kazeem Bolarinwa among others.
