A Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Pastor has been arrested by Police for holding Easter Service in his church. This is in defiance of government lockdown order to curb the spread of coronavirus pandemic.
The pastor, Jonathan Olowonisile, was arrested alongside his associate and two others by officers from Ogijo Police division.
It was learnt that worshippers in the church fled immediately they sighted policemen coming their direction.
Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the arrest to news men.
The Police PRO said the pastor was nabbed for leading a congregation contrary to the ban on mass gathering.
“Our men arrested one Pastor Jonathan Olowonisile today, (Sunday) for contravening the order against high density gathering,” he said.
