DUGBE FIRE INFERNO: SENATOR KOLA BALOGUN SENT TEAM TO VISIT SCENE WITH ZONAL DIRECTOR OF NEMA

The Senator for Oyo South senatorial district, Dr. Mohammed Kola Balogun has sent the members of his team to the location of the Dugbe market incident, describing the situation as very unfortunate. 
According to the release signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Rotimi Johnson, the team visited the location in the company of the Zonal Director, Mr Lugard and his crew, who are making a second visit to the venue of the unfortunate fire incidence. According to the leader of the MKB team, Asiwaju Omilabu Gandhi, Senator Balogun swung into action immediately he heard the news of the fire accident and has involved the DG of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) who has also started moves to ameliorate the impact of the unfortunate incident on the victims of the inferno which started around 1pm on Wednesday 15th of April, 2020.

According to the Chairman of the market affected by the Inferno, Mr. Dapo Davies, Chief Executive Officer of Pelly Foam, the fire affected 19 shops and Pelly water factory. While discussing with the Senator on Video call during the visit of the MKB team, Mr. Davies narrated that most of the people affected were not around during the accident due to the Covid 19 restrictions and that made it impossible to retrieve their wares from the shops.

Senator Kola Balogun concluded his commmisuration by saying; "I assure you of the immediate intervention of the Federal Government through NEMA because the Zonal Director is writing a report to the national today and I will work with that evaluation. I will send the sum of One Million Naira to a designated account as immediate palliative, while they evaluate the extent of damage." 
Asiwaju Gandhi however assures the few victims around of Senator Balogun's follow up with NEMA and also to work on prevention of any reoccurrence of such unfortunate incidence.
