BREAKING: Sheik Akeugbagold twins released after eight days in abductor's net

The abducted twins of an Islamic cleric in Oyo State, Taofeeq Akeugbagold, have been freed,
Akeugbagold, who was the Chairman of the Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Muslim wing, during the administration of former Governor Abiola Ajimobi, announced their release in a Facebook post on Sunday morning.
He said his toddlers were released to him by a bush side after eight days in their abductor’s net.
He, however, did not mention whether a ransom was paid or not to secure their freedom.
He said the kids were in the house with their mother when the kidnappers broke into the compound.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Olugbenga Fadeyi, had confirmed the incident, noting that investigation was ongoing.
But Akeugbagold broke a piece of heartwarming news on his Facebook wall on Sunday morning.
“Alhamdulillah! At 5.30 am on Sunday, 3rd May, my abducted twin kids were released to me beside a bush after eight days in an unknown land. Thanks to you all for your prayers and support, Jazakumullahu khairan,” he wrote.
