Despite his humble background, he remained focus with high targets and visions. As a self disciplined man, he concentrated more on hustling to be successful in life and Almighty God answered his heart desires
Despite many encounters and challenges he experienced on the road to success, he never relented in giving back to society from his hard-earned resources. He kept forging ahead in the quest to excel and giving back to the many requests from the less-privileged, the physically challenged, and the society at large.
As a gallant philanthropist, he kept doing his best to rekindle the hopes of the hopeless, and at times, he stood tall to be the voice of the voiceless in the society with his resources without expectations of any returns nor praises.
Engr. Seyi Makinde's name spreads across all the political zone in Oyo state with commitments, sacrifices, dedication, and passion to eradicate the suffering of the people in society. He has initiated many empowerment programs sponsored through his glamorous "Seyi Makinde Foundation" (SMF) and the majority of the people of Oyo state who have benefitted in one way or the other, had clamored for him to run for the office of the first citizen of the State due to his outstanding services to our dear pacesetter state
After too many requests and pressure from the masses Engr. Seyi Makinde accepted their numerous requests to offer himself to serve humanity, he tried his effort in the 2015 gubernatorial election and Oyo state people told him to calm down till 2019 because they wanted to enjoy his prosperous and selfless attributes cum leadership to build modern Oyo state to her "Pacesetter" status
In the 2019 Gubernatorial election, with the sufficient grace of Almighty God, the good people of Oyo state fulfilled their promises and God made the dream come true in the actualization of a long time mission and vision of building modern Oyo State.
The prompt payment of civil servant salaries and pension for the retirees, free education from primary to secondary levels, 25% cuts off from all state higher institutions across Oyo state, construction and upgrading of model colleges with the provision of all required materials and amenities of the college laboratories just to mention a few.
Governor Seyi Makinde has performed excellently well in the completion of many abandoned infrastructural projects by the past administration and he has also initiated some notable projects for the betterment of the masses in the pacesetter state.
More so his superlative effects are very obvious in every sector and all the good people of Oyo state have acknowledge his style of leadership as the best in the history of the state.
His exceptional performance and the level of acceptance by the masses is a great headache for the enemies of progress.
They are running from pillar to pole to tarnish his name and administration but all their efforts are futile as the affection towards him has increased in the heart of the good people of Oyo state.
Thus Governor Seyi Makinde as the prosperous sailing master of the modern Oyo State is hopeful that citizens believe in his administration and remains the best option for our darling state.
