JUST IN: Benedict Akika Celebrates Birthday At Motherless Home, Donates Food, Gift Items

As part of its philanthropic gestures to the less privileged in the society, Governor Seyi Makinde and Otunba Seye Famojuro close ally Benedict Akika today has presented food items and gifts to Omolewa Motherless Home in Ibadan, Oyo State. Making the presentation to the motherless babies home was part of its social responsibility drive towards the society.

Benedict Akika said, “We are here to celebrate with these children because they have nobody to care for them. They are humans like us who lack love from others and that is why we are here to celebrate with them so as to give them a sense of belonging. ” The worst thing that can happen to anybody is to live in isolation. Living a life with no one to care for you is not easy. Myself, wife, friends and family members are extremely happy today to put smiles on the faces of these children. With these, we feel a sense of fulfillment.”

He thanked God for his life for given him the opportunity to extend a hand of fellowship to the motherless babies home, praying that God would continue to provide for him so to do more for the motherless home. He promised to always visit the motherless home from time-to-time, even as he called on well-meaning indigenes of the State, cooperate organizations and other stakeholders to always extend to the poor through cash or material donations in order to give the children a sense of belonging.
