EMPOWERMENT: Hon. Yemisi Adeagbo Gives Back to Ward 8, Ibadan North LG, Promises To Prioritize Dividends Of Democracy To The Grassroots

 

The honorable councilor representing ward 8 at the legislative chamber, Ibadan north local government recently gave back to her people, few months after electing her to represent them at the local government legislative chamber. Wale bodija writes.

Hon. Yemisi who represent ward 8 at the Ibadan north Local Government Council legislative chamber in Oyo State recently empowered the people of her ward in a grand style. Hundreds of people trooped out to witness the occasion, which brought both the old and the new foxes to the occasion.

Hon. Yemisi, who is a, believed that she needed to give back to her people who voted her as the hon. Councilor representing ward 8, and hoping to do much more in the nearest future 

Hon. Yemisi did not only donate cash, she also inaugurated the newly elected party ward executives.  

Hon. Mrs Yemisi reiterated her commitments towards giving back to her ward at every given opportunity, stating that she is in line with the blueprints of his excellency, gov. seyi makinde and that of the executive chairman of Ibadan north local government, hon. yusuff sahib oladayo (Agba Egbe) on masses-driven programs. 

Party stakeholders of the people Democratic Party (PDP) who graced the occasion were Alhaji Razak Adekola( 50_50),Alhaji Olasupo, Alhaji Lukman Agboluaje, Mama Fatima Lamidi (mama Patako)

Some indigenes, who spoke with Bowa Media on the initiative, commended Yemisi for bringing dividends of democracy to her people. Some are of the view that the councilor, who is a grassroots politician, understands the feelings of her people and as such was ready to assist the people.

With over 50 cash beneficiaries and loyalists drawn from each zone at ward were given cash sum

According to her, Hon. yemisi appreciates the people for voting her as their councilor representing ward 8, stressing that more of these will still come from her.

Also speaking, was a PDP Alhaji Razak Adekola( 50_50) who thanked the councilor for empowering the people. He said what yemisi did by empowering her people was an indication that she appreciates the support given to her by the people of ward 8 during the last local government election in the state.

He urged her to continue to do more for her people, stressing that the people of ward 8 are proud of her record in the last few months as councilor from the local government.
