In a statement issued by his media assistant he described the Governor as a courageous politician for “the good works he is doing towards the growth and development of Oyo State.”
He said: “I felicitate with you, your friends and well-wishers as you celebrate your birthday. You are a courageous politician who has remained dedicated to service and impactful leadership to the people of Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
“As the Governor of Oyo State, you have been steadfast on the path of development.” He added that the Governor has continued to channel his energy towards improving the lives of his people”.
In its message of felicitations, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Ibadan North East at large also described Governor Seyi Makinde as “an exceptional leader, with extraordinary commitment and sacrifices towards national stability, wellbeing of Nigerians and entrenchment of democratic tenets in our nation.”
The LG Chairman noted with delight that over the years, Governor Seyi Makinde has distinguished himself as a leader whose only interest in governance has been the wellbeing of the people.
He therefore, prayed God to continue to bless Governor Seyi Makinde with many more years in good health so that our party, the people of Oyo state and Nigerians at large will continue to benefit from his selfless service to our dear nation and I wish you all MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR IN ADVANCE.
