Governor Seyi Makinde’s ally and founder of Omituntun Benedict Forum, Benedict Akika has bagged the highest award from the Muslim community “Dahirat Shafihiyah Ibrohimiyah Fil Toriiqot Tijaniyah”, led by Mukadam Abdulrazaq AFOLABI during today’s Maulud Nabiyy, supported by Mr Mojeed Olalekan Salau, Chief Omi Tuntun Mosque, Members of Omi Tuntun Benedict Forum, Publisher Jet Royal Media, Oyo State PDP Woman Leader, Alhaji Wulemot Omowunmi Ibitoye, Akinyele/Lagelu PDP Members, Hon Wole Akinleye, family/friends for his commitment and dedication towards promoting Islamic affairs.
Benedict Akika added that Muslims should also become partakers in the revival and preservation of legacy of Islam, the mastery of recitation of the Holy Qur’an, as part of the necessary steps at ensuring a society peopled by learned and righteous individuals. He said that “One of the key requirements for better living is sound understanding of the words of Allah, the Holy Qur’an” so that we would all witness continuous blessings of Allah.
He also commended His Excellency, Gov. Seyi Makinde for his immense contribution towards the growth of Islam across Oyo State.
