The Oyo State Government has approved the recruitment process of about Seven hundred and Ninety-one (791) officers of various cadres into the mainstream of its civil service. The Chairman, Oyo State Civil Service Commission, Alh. Kamoru Aderibigbe made this known in a statement issued on Wednesday in Ibadan. The Chairman said the recruitment will encompass the absorption of two hundred and thirty Education Officers, and five hundred and sixty-one officers into the mainstream. Makinde Resumes Office, Announces Fresh Appointments

Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has made a new set of appointments. The governor, who returned from a four-week annual leave on Monday, appointed Engr. Akin Akinleye as his Executive Assistant on Sports Development, while he also approved the appointments of members into three Boards. A letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi, indicated that members were appointed into the Boards of the Oyo State Pacesetter Transport Service, Oyo State Pension and the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State. The new appointees are as follows: Oyo State Pacesetter Transport Service Board: Mogaji Oladosu Ademola (Vice Chairman, Oyo South); Hon. PDP Ward Congress: No parallel Election is Noticed in Oyo - Phillip Shaibu, Chairman, PDP Ward Congress

Speaking earlier, the Chairman, PDP Ward Congress Committee, who is the Deputy Governor Office Edo State, Hon. Philip Shaibu, said that the Committee did not notice any parallel congress in the state. He added that the ward congresses have been "so peaceful." He said: "So far, so good, all the talks of having parallel election has not been noticed and what is key today is that the process has been peaceful. "No report of any violence anywhere and that is one thing we have been afraid of since yesterday." He said the party will settle all internal issues among its members amicably . He added: "Interestingly, all through the night, we were having discussions and phone calls to some of them that feel aggrieved.
