Two Oyo Commissioners, Wasiu Olatunbosun, Ademola Ojo Lose Parents on Same Day

The mother of Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Oyo State, Alhaja Taiwo Nimotallahi Olatunbosun, is dead. DAILY POST also gathered that the Commissioner for Trade, Investment, Industry and Cooperatives, Chief Ademola Ojo, has lost his father, Pa Adewole Ojo. Olatunbosun died in the early hours of Wednesday at 80. The commissioner said, “After a fruitful and eventful life of Almighty Allah’s abundant mercies and grace, our mother, grandmother, Alhaja Taiwo Nimotallahi Olatunbosun, gloriously transited to eternity”. FG's Infested Rice to Oyo: Nigeria Customs Reject 1800 Infested Bags of Rice Returned by the Oyo State Govt

The Nigeria Customs Service, Oyo/Osun Area Command Headquarters, Ibadan has rejected the return of the alleged 1800 infested bags of rice brought to it by the Oyo state government, this Wednesday. The incumbent Iyaloja of Oyo State, Alhaja Wuraola Asake Kola-Daisi is dead. According to hier son, Chief Rotimi Jogunosinmi, she died at the age of 86. Chief Rotimi Jogunosinmi, a Mogaji of Jogunosinmi compound, Oja’ba who made the announcement on behalf of the family, said the Iyaloja will be buried today, Thursday at her residence, on Ring Road, Ibadan near D’ Rovans Hotel, back of Omo Gafo building Ibadan by 4pm. Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has appointed the trio of Hon. Temitope Ezekiel Oladimeji, Dr Morohunkola Thomas and Hon. The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde has constituted a committee on SUSTAINABLE ACTION FOR ECONOMIC RECOVERY (SAfER). The Committee, according to a statement by the Commissioner of Information and Orientation, Prince Dotun Oyelade, is in accordance with the governor’s promise made during a statewide address to the people of Oyo State. According to the statement, the Committee is saddled with the implementation of various palliatives for the citizens of Oyo State, in the light of the hardship caused by the subsidy removal. The 15-man committee is headed by the Chief of Staff, Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi, while the Secretary is the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Prof. Musibau Babatunde. Other members include the Commissioner of Finance, Mr Akinola Ojo; Commissioner of Agriculture and Rural Development, Bar. Olasunkanmi Olaleye; Hon.
