IBADAN HOME OF FIRST FILLED TO THE BRIM AS FRIENDS OF DEJI OLA CLEANS AGODI GATE AND ITS ENVIRONS TO MARK D.O’s BIRTHDAY



It was a moment of joy when Mr Deji Ola, Ibadan-based activist who is also the Personal Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde’s Chief of Staff, Otunba Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi alongside his friends from the 33 local government cleaned Agodi Gate and its environs. This exercise is in line with the NGO’s mission and vision which is majorly to positively impact their immediate community through voluntary services and masses oriented initiatives. 



In the early hour of today, volunteers from all walks of life converged at Oyo State Waste Management Authority Office for briefing before kickstarting the exercise which started around 6:30am. Volunteers were able to clean significant places like Correctional service office, Oke-Adu junction, Attenda, Ali Iwo among others.

Speaking during the exercise, Comrade Deji Ola emphasized the importance of environmental sanitation in our community noting that “cleanliness is next to Godliness”

He equally used the opportunity to appreciate Engr. Seyi Makinde for providing enabling environment which is the panacea to idleness. In the same vein, he applauds his friends for their dedication and loyalty which has not only made the NGO one of the best in the state but the entire country. 


The Coordinator, Mr Bashorun Adeniji SaintAbey emphasized other highlighted activities to mark convener’s birthday coming up on 5th March, 2022. Accodiding to him, such activities include; visitation to Oluyole Cheshire home where they planned to celebrate with special needs individuals, tourist attraction to Eleyele lake and Oke Ibadan hill.
