SECURITY: Ibadan North Council Boss, Agba Egbe Commends Security Operatives For Prompt Intervention On Akingbola Crisis •Says Normalcy Has Been Brought Back

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Yusuff Sahib Oladayo has commended the Security Operatives, Police, Army, DSS, RSS, NSCDC, The Local Vigilante and Amotekun towards averting what could have led to an ethnic religious crisis in the local government area on Sunday, 15th of May 2022 over what he described as excellent approach in curbing the menace.

Agba Egbe said this on arrival at the Akingbola area of ward 5 in Ibadan north local government, where it was reported that a fight broke out between the Hausa and Yoruba residents.

Agba Egbe in his words said "We got a security report that there was a fight at the Akingbola area in ward 5, which upon the intelligence report, we promptly informed the various security outfits to avert the crisis beyond what it was, and as you can see the situation has been calmed and normality has been brought back to the community.

Further, I want to particularly extolled our governor, for his pragmatic leadership traits on security, which obviously has been of use. I want to commend all security agencies for their professional efforts in tackling and averting the crisis, and for approaching crime as crime and not through a political lens,” the chairman stated.

Agba Egbe on the hand, had warned and cautioned youths, politicians who want to take advantage of the current unrest from other state to back down else will have to come in face with the law.
