IBNELG Chairman, Hon Ibrahim Akintayo Congratulates Makinde His Victory As Oyo PDP Gubernatorial Candidate

The Chairman of IBNELG, IBRAHIM AKINTAYO has congratulated the OYO state Governor, Engr Oluwaseyi Makinde on his emergence as the Oyo State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate.  

According to him, “Gov Seyi Makinde emerged winner of the PDP primary election in Oyo state after he was voted in as the most preferred candidate by the PDP delegates.

   Earlier yesterday, May 25th, 2022. Governor Oluwaseyi Makinde, was declared winner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primary in oyo State. This followed his affirmation by the delegates as the elected candidate in the primary election.

Gov seyi Makinde’s victory is heartwarming. I therefore, congratulate him for the opportunity of becoming our great party’s standard-bearer in the forthcoming governorship election. Clearly, Governor Makinde’s emergence as the PDP candidate is the culmination of doggedness, unyielding determination, political sagacity and the will of God.

    Even as I am optimistic of the bigger victory ahead, I implore our party at the national level and in oyo State in particular to continue to work hand in gloves in order to deliver on Governor Makinde’s solid mandate. This is the time to close ranks and be single-minded to ensure oyo returns to the PDP family within the region, where it rightly belongs.

    Let me also commend the sportsmanship of Barr. Hazeem Gbolarumi, who subordinated his aspirations to the larger interests and the unity of our party, and in the process ensured that the primary election was peaceful and rancour-free.

  Nevertheless, I urge Governor Makinde to fly the party’s flag with courage and great confidence knowing that the Oyo electorate are with him because of his sterling performance in the last four years”.
