The Executive Chairman of Ibadan Northeast Local Government extends new Year greetings,Sues For Better Activities. This was stated in a press release made available to E3Naija via his media aide as stated below;
"I am delighted to join you this morning to celebrate the joy of the new season. The Year 2023, which we are all witnesses to, promises to be symbolic in all the facets of our lives, particularly in our quest, as an administration, to restore our values and dignity as a people."
"It gives me great pleasure to joyfully welcome you to this new dawn. Indeed, this is the dawn of a new era for our State and our people. We have every reason to thank God for what He has done for us as a State and people. Though we are not where we ought to be at the moment, definitely we are equally not where we used to be. We are, however, clear in our vision of a better tomorrow, a tomorrow that all IBNELG members will be proud of irrespective of religious background and political affiliations."
"In spite of the challenges of the past year, the Holy Book admonishes us to thank God in everything no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks, for this is the will of God."
"However, the humble Son of Ibadan land, Hon. Akintayo Akinsola Ibrahim urged “all and sundry to work for the success of Governor Seyi makinde's second term bid ( that one good term deserves another) and promised better activities for the new year."
He further appeals to everyone to be vigilant and be security wise,even at this period of festivity, that if any criminal activity is noticed or perceived, urgent security attention should be sought and useful report should be given and related to any near by security post/agents.
Concluding his message, the council boss wished the people of Ibadan North East Local Government, Ibadan land and the entire oyo state "a hitch- free and prosperous New Year”.
