BEING THE SPEECH DELIVERED TODAY 25TH JULY 2023 AT (OYO STATE NYSC ORIENTATION CAMP - ISEYIN) BUILDING HOPE AROUND UNCERTAINTY WHICH WAY BY POPOOLA OLAIDE SETTLE  EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OLUYOLE LOCAL GOVERNMENT

"No doubt, in this contemporary world of ours youths and hope are like Siamese twins. Hence, conceptualizing the categories of youths cannot be overemphasized."

"FORMAL and INFORMAL YOUTH
Because of wanting of time, we'll concentrate on FORMAL YOUTH which characterise this intellectual gathering."

"Formal youths are categories of elements who seeks formal knowledge as instruments that will distinguish him/her from informal settings."

"This premise establishes paradigm shift from primitive society to modern world of literacy."

"What do I mean by modern world of literacy? Among you here seated are potential; doctors, engineers, nurses, surveyors etc."

"HOPE; According to English dictionary suffix to say that HOPE are traits inherent in every living things that help to view a picture of a better, preferred and rewarding future."

A feeling of expectation and desire for a particular thing to happen.

Hope suggest in clear term the premonitions that guide the action and inaction of an emerging leader in a global interaction.

No formidable team in life ever envisaged failure as hope. Virtually, all human beings make hope an instrument for a rewarding future either planned or unplanned for.

Having conceptualize the concept of Hope and Youth, our next point of view is to critically reconcile the world of uncertainty in building Hope by the present categories of formal youth.

What is UNCERTAINTY?
Going by all standard, uncertainty refers situations involving imperfect or unknown. It also applies to prediction of future events.

Then, come a general question!
Who wants to become a renowned doctor, nurse, engineer, lecturers, Architect.

Today, the hope in you is burning, the zeal in you is high to the heaven, and the determination to succeed in the larger society that is not certain is strong.

What do I mean by uncertainty of our society? Going by existing realities, Nigerian society characterize where hope are dashed. Where the zeal to succeed are made slave and the determination to come out in flying colors are committed to dustbin of wastefulness.

As an emerging leader that you are, you have the determination that after your service year you're going out there to rule your world and not to be ruled without considering a number of societal factors that are staring us in the face.

As a product of a larger society, I have tasted the aroma of service year and the agony of what is obtainable in the larger society. I make bold to say it this afternoon, there are future outside camp that will feature what you have never planned for in your entire life.

How do you now reconcile the world of uncertainty with the hope you have for a better days to make it a reality.

Now, what is the way out?
Don't forget the fact that there are multiple ways of making a living so there's no harm in trying and retrying even if you have failed before.

Don't also be deceived that there is a standby password for success in life "most determined have failed in their chosen career and the less determined have also succeeded in their endeavor". This assertion help to justify the concept of dynamism in the course of human endeavor.

Your background must not be a barrier. For instance, the humble servant standing before you came from a poor and humble background, here I am today, this is where focus has brought me.

2. COMMITMENT
Staying committed and passionate about your dream is the key to manifestation.

3. COMPANY
There's no gainsaying the fact that the company you keep in life will determine your accomplishment in life.

Nature connects a humble man standing before you today with the current Executive Governor of Oyo State Engr Seyi Makinde a couples of years ago, when nobody thought it will end up a fruitful marriage of testimonies amidst testimonies.
