Settle Olaide Empowers Farmers At Akorede LCDA, Unveils Plan To Establish Oluyole Farm Market

Yesterday evening, The Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Hon Settle Olaide chaired the empowerment programme organized for all our farmers at Akorede LCDA where farming tools were provided for our farmers as part of the collaborative and supportive efforts of the Akorede Local council Development Area of Oluyole Local Government under the leadership of the acting Head of Local Government and Administration, Dr. Mrs. Agnes Ojo.

He used the opportunity to encourage our farmers to ensure that they expand their farming practices to commercial scale, in order to boost food production and availability in the state as envisioned by the Executive Governor of Oyo State, ENGR.Seyi Makinde and use the tools provided to maximize productivity of agricultural goods.

He also told them of plans to ease the burden of unavailability of  markets for agricultural goods by capitalizing on partnership with Ogun and Lagos state local councils in a bid to solve the germane problem of availability of markets for agricultural goods which He believe it would soon materialize physically for the benefit of our people as plans are underway to see to its realisation.

The Leaders of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria, (AFAN); Akorede LCDA chapter and beneficiaries thanked the Government of Oyo State for being thoughtful with the empowerment programme and helpful to them through the distribution of the farm support tools while also assuring us that the tools will be efficiently and judiciously used for the  targeted purposes.
