Oyo Assembly Approves Bayo Lawal Nomination, To Be Sworn In As New Deputy Governor

After the removal of the Oyo state deputy Governor, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan by the state house of assembly, the lawmakers have again approved the Chairman, Oyo State Housing Corporation, Chief Adebayo Lawal as the new Deputy Governor.

Chief Lawal was nominated for replacement for Olaniyan by the state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde.

The nomination was contained in a letter from the Executive to the lawmaker which was presented on Monday plenary.

E3NAIJA reports that the house had gone on a short recess after removing Olaniyan from office as the Deputy Governor.

The speaker, Rt Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin while reading the letter from the Executive said it was in response of an earlier letter sent by the lawmaker to the Governor dated July 18 informing him of the removal of Olaniyan from office.

Chief bayo Lawal is expected to be sworn in by the governor soon.
