Oje Market Leadership Crisis: Akintayo Calls For Peace And Harmony For The Development Of The Market

A call has gone to the leadership of Oje market to embrace peace and live together in harmony for the development of the market.



Making the appeal is the executive chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo while mediating to the leadership crisis among the market leadership.


While narrating his own side of the story, Babaloja of Oje market, Mr Saliu Ayinde Delesolu said he was duly installed as the Babaloja of Oje market and got the approval of Labiran Olubadan and Mogajis..

In his own side of the story, Mr Adams Ajobo insisted that Mr Soliu Delesolu installation as the Babaloja of Oje market did not receive the blessing of the Babaloja of Oyo state, Alhaji Y. K. Abass hence the reason to have another Babaloja for the market.




The council chairman promised to have enlarged meeting with the market elders so as to have a lasting solution and allow peace to reign in the market.

The local government director of Administration and general services, Alhaja R. F. Olanrewaju then requested for the Constitution guiding the market activities.

Mediating team includes, Engr Babatunde Adewale, HLGA, Director of Administration, Alhaja Olanrewaju, Mr Tunde Olarinde, DDAGS, PDP party chairman, Alhaji Isiaka Fatokun Abuye, PDP women leader, Alhaja Adenike Olaniyan, from the market side are: Mr Soliu Ayinde Delesolu, Babaloja of Oje market, Mr Adams Ajobo and some traders within the market.
