SECURITY SUMMIT: Egbeda Council Boss, Sikiru Sanda Holds Stakeholders Security Summit, Distributes Motorcycles to Local Security Outfits





As part of his untiring efforts to tackle insecurity in the council area , the Executive Chairman of Egbeda local government, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele held stakeholders security summit meeting and indigenous security architecture approach with traditional rulers, religious and community leaders, security agents and stakeholders.

 The meeting was aimed to brainstorm on ways to tackle the security challenges and restore peace, love and togetherness among inhabitants of Egbeda local government where motorcycles were given to local security outfits who include vigilantes, local hunters, OPC, Akekaka, Agbekoya respectively.


 In his welcome address, the distribution of mobilities to local security operatives is in line with the readiness, eagerness and firm stance to ensure that peace, love and oneness continue to reign in the community without any form of violence and disorderliness.




 The council boss said, Engr. Seyi Makinde is doing everything possible to ensure that lives and properties of good people of pacesetter state are saved and secured, adding that it becomes important to reciprocate the efforts at the local level.


 In their various remarks, the security agents appealed to all the local security outfits to always give useful information as they are ready to join hands with them to curb nefarious act at council jurisdictions.




 The traditional rulers implored the local security outfits to make use of the heritage and local power inherited from their forefathers to fight insecurity because those things are now needed as self defense and for community to triumph on security challenges.


 The epoch making occasion was well attended by the council Chairman, vice Chairman, Leader of the house, councillors, stakeholders, PDP stalwarts, HLGA, Heads of departments and units.
