The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon Ibrahim Akinsola Akinayo (Omu- yes) today sworn-in the newly appointed secretaries, supervisory councillors and special assistants who will assist in the smooth running of the affairs of the Local government.
Hon Ibrahim Akintayo who presided over the swearing-in at Ibadan North East Local Government, Iwo road. Congratulated the newly appointees and the good people of the local government council.
He said:
"I observed today not a victory for our party but a celebration of freedom symbolizing an end, well as a beginning that signify a renewal of change. Let the word go forth that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Ibadan born politicians".
He however reminded them of the expectations of people from each ward they were nominated, noting that they were earnestly yearning for development and quick delivery of dividends of democracy by replicating the good governance from the state level to the nooks and crannies of the local government.
He mentioned that, the newly sworn-in Appointees are the twelve political wards of the council area.
In conclusion Hon Ibrahim Akintayo advices all and sundry to replicate the good governance initiative of His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde which the people of Ibadan North East Local Government and Oyo state as whole are already experiencing.
