A former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio, has emerged as the Senate President of the 10th Assembly.
Akpabio had defeated Zamfara West Senator-elect, Abdul’aziz Yari, after scoring 63 votes while Yari scored 46 votes.in the election held on Tuesday morning.
The Clerk of the National Assembly, Sani Tambuwal, is said to be presiding over the session.
