Over the years, many lives have been lost to malaria, poor baby deliveries and poor access to health care services in various rural communities, even majority of people living in the urban areas were also suffering from the same problem.
Engr Seyi Makinde in his efforts to improve the standard of living of her Citizens in the State (especially the pregnant women, nursing mothers, Aged, Children under the ages of 0-3 ) started and approved the renovation of 351 health centers across each ward in the State.
Former Government under the APC abandoned the said Health centers for 8 years and created failed ABC clinics in some Local Governments, the clinic is now a history.
The purposeful nature of Engr. Seyi Makinde and his love for Nursing mothers and new born babies made him to create a better atmosphere, modern delivery equipments and and newly appointed experienced personnel's to head the Hospital Management Board, Oyo State Primary Health Care Board and the State Hospitals.
The newly constructed, renovated and equiped Health Centers will soon be commissioned and available for the use of the good people of the state.
It's no more news that the State government recently gave appointment letters to newly recruited health officials under the Oyo State Hospital Management Board and also approved the recruitment of more Nurses and health officials for Oyo State Primary Health Care Board.
His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde has touched all the important sectors in the State, from, Education, Health, Security, Infrastructures, Youths and Sport, Agriculture, Land & Housing, Welfare of Workers and Pensioners.
I strongly believe that Oyo State will reach her leading status among the committee of States, if the good people of the State continue to give their support to their son and Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde. If he can achieve all these developments in two year, let us imagine what will happen to Oyo State in Eight Year under his leadership?
I will also advise His Excellency not to listen to detractors and continue his good work in the State, Oyo State needs to improve on Environmental sector and beautification, I believe that this sector will soon start to wear a new look like other sectors.
