2023: Makinde Ready For 2nd Term – Releases New Song For Campaign

Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has announced the campaign song for his second term bid.

Makinde sang the new campaign song on Friday while playing host to the leadership and members of African Democratic Congress (ADC) who paid a thank you rally to appreciate the Governor for fulfilling the agreements he had with the coalition party in the build up to the 2019 gubernatorial election that ushered in the incumbent administration.

The song was rendered in Yoruba, the English translation goes thus: (This is not the time for rhetorics but to give thanks to God Almighty).

Recall that Senator Olufemi Lanlehin and few ADC members pulled out of the coalition months after Makinde’s inauguration and defected to the All Progressives Congress.

The thank you visit was led by Senator Monsurat Sumonu, state chairman of ADC, Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Wasiu Olatunbosun among others.
